WERRTA

Soft Mist
Inhaler

Disruptive Inhalation technologies.

A solution for solutions.

With the development of the WERRTA Soft Mist Inhaler (SMI) for nebulizing solutions, we are consistently pursuing our strategy of offering innovative devices for the inhalation of medicinal products and enabling the introduction of innovative active ingredients.

The DCD micro-nozzle nebulization developed by WERRTA differs from existing nebulization concepts such as the Rayleigh principle or the impinging jet principle.

Compared to established pharmaceutical, soft mist inhalers, the WERRTA soft mist technology produces a high quality spray of the same quality class, with significantly lower pressure and easy handling.

In terms of its form, function and handling, the WERRTA Soft Mist Inhaler follows the classic pMDI, but without its well-known disadvantages. Compared to the pMDI, the advantages of the WERRTA SMI are:

  • low discharge velocity of the mist

  • low demands on the patient in terms of hand-breath coordination

  • no need for a spacer

By combining our innovative micro nozzles with proven technologies, we will be able to offer an effective and attractively priced SMI to the pharmaceutical market in the foreseeable future.

The WERRTA Soft Mist Inhaler does not use any environmentally harmful propellants and as such, it also makes an important contribution to climate neutrality.
